Your Thyme Celebrant & Ceremony, Lytham St Annes

12 Lightburne Ave FY8 1JE Preston (Lancashire)

Description

Hello. I am Bee, a seaside-loving, enthusiastic knitter, home baker, and a qualified celebrant who has recently relocated to the Lancashire coast. I provide bespoke wedding ceremonies for couples throughout the surrounding region, and as the proud owner of Bobby the Motorhome, I love to travel. I know how important this big day is for you both, and I will create each ceremony to match your vision for the day and reflect your unique love story. With my experience as a wordsmith and love for personalised celebrations, I will work with you both to make sure your special day is beautiful and authentic, like you and your partner. Services Offered I offer a full range of celebrant services, including weddings, civil partnerships, elopement ceremonies, commitment and renewal of vows ceremonies, whether it is just the two of you or 200. Your Thyme Celebrant & Ceremony creates a wedding script just for you, using your journey together as inspiration. During your first consultation, I will listen to your ideas and dreams for the day, any rituals you would like to include and the overall tone you are aiming for. When it comes to weddings, one size definitely does not fit all. Whether you want a ceremony that's traditional and romantic or joyful and relaxed, I will be ready to help you enjoy a memorable start to your married life. If you are unsure whether to use a celebrant or have a registrar at your venue, then please read my FAQs before making the decision. I am happy to work with any registrar at your chosen venue, as it is sometimes possible to have a blended service. I am often described as a safe pair of hands but never boring. From my nursing and teaching background, I can handle most things. A recent wedding had a husky as a ring bearer and a bilingual service with an interpreter, so I am definitely adaptable. Couples Often Want to Know What is the difference between a Registrar and a Celebrant? At the moment, only a registrar can hold a legal service on behalf of the government, with the main objective being that you can legally marry. A Registrar will often come to a venue licensed for weddings to conduct a ceremony; however, this is usually a templated ceremony with your details and music preferences inserted. A simple registration of the marriage with the Registrar, the two of you and two witnesses leaves you to have a wedding ceremony to wow your guests and make it a day to remember. A Celebrant celebrates your wedding with your family and friends in a style that reflects both of you. This can be held anywhere and at any time it is legal to gather, not just in licensed venues. We create the ceremony between us, keeping things traditional with the entrances of the spouses-to-be and the kiss or ripping up the rule book and doing it your way. The possibilities are endless with all sorts of rituals such as remembrance candles, hand-fasting, and ring warming to make a ceremony that will be a highlight of your day. How do I get to know my couples? As a celebrant, I love chatting with people, but I realise that many are very busy, so I schedule a mix of online consultations, questionnaires, and a meeting at the venue. The questionnaires are created to be fun and can be filled in as a date night, or if you both prefer, we can do it on a call. I also use WhatsApp when sending documents and asking quick questions. Can our pet attend or take part in the ceremony? It's your ceremony. So, if you think your pet will be okay, and you have someone to take care of them, then why not? But beware, I fell in love with the husky ring bearer. How can we include my children in the ceremony? If your ceremony is all about all of you becoming one family, then rituals such as a unity candle or a sand ceremony are great for actually involving children. I have written a version of a handfasting involving little ones, where they laid the ribbons over the couples' hands and another where their hands were bound too. It's your ceremony, so I'll endeavour to fulfil your vision. Do we need to have traditional vows? Some couples love the familiarity of traditional vows, and these can definitely be used. However, if you would like something more contemporary, I can recommend a variety of styles for vows, from modern options to using lyrics of the songs chosen in the ceremonies or lovely, heartfelt words. If you prefer, I will help you write your own expressions of promises and sentiments. How do I justify my fee? I have completed comprehensive training and belong to The Celebrant Circle, a group that provides updates and development. Each couple's ceremony is written from scratch and not from a template, which means you can influence what happens when and how. Each piece of music is discussed with the nearlyweds and woven into the service. I suggest pieces of poetry and readings that can also be a unique wedding gift for each other, but you might have a meaningful reading or poem we can use. I write the rituals in a way that reveals memories and thoughts, aiming to get your guests laughing and perhaps shedding a joyful tear. The time spent travelling and preparing to ensure your ceremony is seamless is also taken into consideration. I create keepsake booklets of the spoken ceremony, any readings/ poems and, of course, your vows or promises. I also craft woven cords for the handfasting to complement your wedding scheme. I love getting to know and work with couples to create a heartfelt ceremony that you and your loved ones will never forget. Your Thyme Celebrant & Ceremony is a wedding celebrant based in Preston, Lancashire.
