Bannockburn House, Stirling

Bannockburn House FK7 8EY Stirling (Central & Glasgow)

Description

Weddings at Bannockburn House is an entirely volunteer team operating within the registered charity Bannockburn House Trust. We offer a bespoke service meaning couples can design and build their own ideal wedding with our support. Our venue is a 17th. century mansion which is of national historic significance. It was the subject of a community buyout in 2016 and is in the process of restoration and conservation. We have substantial grounds which are great for outdoor weddings and internally the house has a beautiful main hall - the Laigh Hall, with its magnificent plasterwork ceiling and wrap around balcony - in which smaller ceremonies can take place. Our exterior courtyard, with its overhead fairy lights, is ideal for bbqs and outdoor bars. The walled garden is ideal for photographs, as is our woodland walk, our Bonnie Prince Charlie bedroom (he stayed at Bannockburn House in 1746) and our flat roof with its panoramic views. As co -ordinator I lead a team of volunteers who are happy to help with set up, on the day and clear up. Weddings bring life to Bannockburn House and this is what motivates our team to deliver the very best experience for our couples and their guests.
