Bartons Mill is a unique late 17th century mill formerly known as Old Basing Mill set in the beautiful surroundings of the Hampshire countryside. Just a short distance from Basingstoke town center, Old Basing is a charming village steeped in history. Situated on the River Loddon, Bartons Mill is home to unique wildlife and with a tranquil riverside setting. Our historic building was last working in 1965 and remained a private residence until 1979 when it opened its doors as a restaurant. Renovated to seamlessly merge The Bartons Mill restaurant and The Millstone Pub to create Bartons Mill, this site lovingly retains the characterful features of its historical past. Read more
