Caer Llan is a family owned and run country house venue located near Monmouth in the county of Monmouthshire. Situated amongst gorgeous Welsh countryside with stunning views across the rolling hills, this beautiful old property is ideal for those seeking to get married in the peace and quiet of the countryside. The venue is available for exclusive use and provides the perfect setting for you, your family and friends to celebrate together and create those unforgettable memories.
Facilities and Capacity
The fantastic patios and terraces alongside the house are perfect for outdoor ceremonies and receptions through the spring and summer months with our stretch tent providing essential shade or cover from light rain, whilst the wedding gazebo makes the most magical picturesque location for you to exchange your vows. The stretch tent is available during our peak season from May to October. Our indoor spaces then provide an all-year option for your ceremony and reception as well as being a poor weather contingency during the summer months. Our versatility as a venue is such that you can decide on the morning of your wedding day whether to go indoors or outdoors. Each setting features stunning views of the countryside as backdrop.
Caer Llan offers a beautifully natural setting for your photographer to capture those first moments as a married couple. You can wander around the stunning grounds and garden or even dip your toes in our outdoor swimming pool. Either way, your photographer will be spoilt for choice.
Ceremonies and receptions can be hosted for up to 80 people, with up to 120 in the evening.
Accommodation
There are 16 bedrooms at this venue which can comfortably host up to 50 guests. All of these rooms include en-suite bathrooms and everything you need for a great night's sleep. What's more, there are ground-floor suites for wheelchair users.
Services Offered
Weddings at Caer Llan are offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays such that all couples have the chance to stay from the night before until the morning after without the huge cost implications of paying for extra days.
The venue is family run by the owners, Vicky and Jake Carpenter. From your initial viewing to your final farewells, along with their warm and welcoming team. they will be on hand throughout the entire process and also the day itself to make sure that everything runs according to plan.
There is no need to book external caterers, our in-house chefs will prepare your wedding feast and extra meals for your resident guests whilst taking care of any dietary requirements without any fuss. We also have an in-house, fully licensed bar with pub prices and friendly, efficient bar staff.
We also offer fully transparent pricing, and our wedding bundle includes many extras such as garden games, easels, a microphone and speaker, a cake stand and a knife.
