Our centre is the ideal place for your Wedding Celebration. Spacious, flexible, and with all the facilities you need to plan your wedding reception, Currock Community Centre was built in 1842 and is a beautiful Victorian and Grade II listed Building. On 6 October 1934, it was handed over to be run as a community centre; it was one of the first community centres in England and the very first one of its kind in Carlisle. This much-loved historic Grade II listed house boasts a warm, characterful and charming atmosphere. We are located on Lediard Avenue in the heart of Currock, within walking distance of the City centre, and we are 10 minutes from Carlisle Railway Station.Currock Community Centre would offer exclusive use on either a Saturday or Sunday. Our hall facilities can cater to up to 100 people, and we have a range of seating and tables available, as well as a kitchenette located within the hall. You are free to make your own catering arrangements, with the inclusion of a large, well-equipped kitchen. You are also welcome to provide your own caterers for all aspects of your wedding. Alternatively, hot and cold buffets, together with refreshments, can be provided to all groups. Please contact us with your requirements.We have free car parking, disabled access at ground floor level, and WiFi throughout the building.Our gardens would give the perfect backdrop for wedding photos.You are welcome to provisionally book a date to give you time to finalise your plans. A deposit of a third of the balance would be due when you are ready to confirm, with the remainder due six weeks before your special day. Our hall and kitchen hire is more than affordable.
