Egerton House, Newmarket

Built in 1891, Egerton House is an idyllic wedding venue in Newmarket, Suffolk. In 2015, the property underwent major restoration to reopen its doors as an event destination. Conveniently located minutes away from the July Course is an added advantage. Seeped in horse racing history, it was once the home of many champions and stallions, namely Persimmon owned by the Prince of Wales. Facilities and Capacity The beautiful, dreamy grounds surrounding the house makes for an absolutely magical ceremonial site. Spacious as it is, a marquee can be set up to host a wedding of up to 200 guests. Alternatively, you can choose to celebrate in the reception room, which is the picture of elegance. The dining room, on the other hand, can accommodate up to 20 seated and is therefore ideal for intimate affairs. Egerton House is also home to 10 well-appointed bedrooms and 10 comfortable bathrooms. These can prove to be great options for your first night as a married couple or for your out-of-town guests to retreat to post-festivities. The Billiard Room, Sauna, and the Whiskey Room are also part of the house and can be accessed for the purposes of relaxation and recreation. Services Offered From breakfast to lunch to dinner, full catering can be provided for the day. The wine cellar will also aid in the merriment. You are welcome to bring in the caterer of choice too.
