There can be no more romantic setting for your wedding celebration than this spectacular fairytale castle, set high on a hill overlooking the sleepy fishing village of Ballantrae. Thirty acres of beautiful and immaculately maintained gardens with panoramic views out across the Irish Sea to the island of Arran, the great granite mass of Ailsa Craig, and beyond to the Mull of Kintyre and the Irish coastline. Weddings at the castle are intimate occasions where guests can relax among friends and enjoy the beauty and luxury of their surroundings. Exclusive Use - Intimate Weddings - MAXIMUM 34 guests. At Glenapp we only host weddings on an exclusive use basis, whereby the wedding party of up to thirty four guests, have sole occupancy of the castle and the grounds. The wedding ceremony may either be held in Glenapp Church, a very beautiful little Victorian building within Glenapp estate, or within the castle itself. We can provide a traditional Scottish piper or a twelve piece fiddle orchestra, a string quartet or a folk singer. We can also provide more contemporary live music. There are seventeen luxuriously appointed bedrooms and suites at Glenapp. All are individual, and all look out upon the beauty of the gardens or across the Irish Sea to Ailsa Craig, Arran and the Mull of Kintyre. Dining in the gracious surroundings of the elegant castle dining rooms, while watching the sun set over Ailsa Craig and The Mull of Kintyre, is a truly unique experience.
