Situated just a mile east of Coggeshall in Essex, Houchins is a traditional Grade II* listed farmhouse wedding venue with a modern twist. The venue opened in 2014. It is family owned with an award-winning events team to make sure your day runs exactly to plan. Facilities and Capacity
Houchins enables you and your guests to enjoy a seamless wedding experience. The Foundry is licensed for civil ceremonies and can accommodate groups of 12 to 150 guests. It also serves as a reception space where parties of up to 200 people can dance and celebrate long into the night. The adjoining Chitting Shed, which features large glass doors that open onto the terrace and gardens, is ideal for a relaxed drinks reception. The Grainstore, with its high ceilings, mezzanine gallery, and large fireplace, creates the perfect atmosphere for your wedding breakfast. The Grainstore has sufficient space to comfortably seat up to 150 of your family and friends. The Loggia is available from May to September if you prefer an outdoor ceremony. The adjoining marquee provides a cosy reception space and protection from inclement weather. The stylish self-catering farmhouse sleeps 14 people, and the Honeymoon Lodge is the perfect place to relax and spend your first night as a married couple. Houchins will even provide a complimentary continental breakfast, with juice, fresh bread, croissants and cereal.
