Hello! There's one really big advantage to having a former TV newsreader as your Celebrant - you can be sure everyone at the back will be able to hear! But joking aside, I produced and presented radio and TV programmes for many years before becoming a qualified wedding Celebrant, so I know how to create and write your ceremony exactly as you want. It's a big deal entrusting a precious and significant ceremony to someone you hardly know. So let me introduce myself...I live in Manchester and have two grown-up children, two grandchildren (so far!) and two very scruffy dogs. After a busy career in journalism, I prefer take things at a slower pace now, I like gardening, baking, going to the theatre...and jogging round my local park (believe me, that's super-slow!) I also write and publish biographies and memoirs for anyone who wants to record their lives in print. And I know all about a deadline! Creating memories is a huge privilege and responsibility - after all, you’re inviting me into your life. So it’s really important for you to know that whoever you are, however you live your life, whatever your background and beliefs and whatever your relationships, you’ll find me welcoming and sympathetic.
