Metaxia-Music

Metaxia Music is a duo, comprising of Maxine who sings and plays the ukulele and Ian on the keyboards. They have an extensive repertoire of jazz and blues standards, perfectly blending feel good tunes with more emotionally powerful ballads, that together with their creativity and experience, will provide you a unique experience and a fitting tribute to the 'Roaring Twenties'.
Experience
Maxine and Ian have been together as a duo and providing music to weddings since 2012. Maxine's wide range of singing experience includes bands, other duos, and choirs. While Ian has played the piano for forty+ years, in styles ranging from classical to modern musicals.
Services offered
Metaxia Music have an extensive repertoire of jazz and blues classics, with the majority coming from the 1920s and 1930s. The set list is especially suited for 20s or 30s themed events and they are willing to dress accordingly. One only needs to look at their dazzling photos.
The set usually lasts around 50 minutes and there can be a maximum of 2 sets. The set can comprise of light background music or as a mix of slow, mid, and fast tempos.
Areas covered
Principally based in the Guildford area, which includes a 10 mile radius from the centre. However, they are willing to travel further, which can be arranged by contacting the duo. The group will always conduct a sound check before their set.
