About Queens House
Sitting in the centre of the grounds at Royal Museums Greenwich, this exquisite former royal palace was built as a 'House of Delight' with such enduring style guests still marvel at its elegant design. The Great Hall's commanding views over the River Thames, original black and white marble flooring, and iconic Tulip Stairs provide a spectacular setting for events. The Orangery and South Parlours open up onto Greenwich Park. Suitable for weddings up to 120 guests.
Conceived for James Is Queen, this exquisite former royal residence is set in the green and leafy surroundings of Greenwich Park, London, with spectacular views across the gardens of historic Greenwich to the River Thames and the contrasting skyscrapers of Canary Wharf beyond.
Designed by the pioneering architect Inigo Jones, the Queens House is Britains first and finest classical building and a masterpiece of 17th-century architecture. The House is now filled with art and design classics both old and new, including paintings by great British and European masters.
From drinks on the lawns with sweeping park views, to unforgettable ceremonies and dinners in the striking Great Hall, to dancing into the night in the atmospheric stone-arched Undercroft, the Queens House is a very special place to celebrate.
