Description
The Canonbury Tavern is a historic wedding venue located in Islington, North London, England. Just a short stroll from Highbury and Islington tube station on Canonbury Place, this pub has a reputation for serving some of the finest British food in London. The property has been a public house since the early 1700s and boasts a rich and varied history. With one of the best pub gardens in London, it has long been a destination for couples hoping to wed in a stunning urban oasis.
Facilities and Capacity
The Canonbury Tavern accommodates small celebrations up to 35 seated or 50 standing. The light, airy Blue Room is available for private hire. The Blue Room has dark indigo walls, hardwood floors, glittering crystal chandeliers and large windows that let in lots of natural light. The pub also has several unique, history-rich and beautiful backdrops for photographs, including a staircase that leads nowhere. This is because, in the early 20th century, the top floor was removed following a fire and was never replaced.
