The Duchess Belle is a beautiful Battersea pub that has been recently refurbished, making it perfect for a city wedding. We have a fantastic large ground floor area with a bar in the centre. To the rear our extremely sunny beer garden has beautiful floral baskets & is a wonderful place to sit in the summer, also heated for when the weather is cooler. On the first floor we have another bar area and a terrace, with amazing views of the iconic Battersea Power Station, providing a fantastic backdrop for your celebrations. As well as delicious food, there is a fantastic selection of draft beers, real ales, quality wines and champagne. The pub is in a great location, just a 5-minute walk from Battersea Park Station and not far from the River Thames. Pub History: The site where the Duchess stands was originally a Public House called the Duchess of York built in 1789 to commemorate the marriage of the Duke of York to Princess Frederica Charlotte of Prussia which took place in 1791. It was one of several builds begun in 1789 by Lovell & Peecock as part of the Nine Elms development.
