The Izaak Walton Hotel is able to offer superb fly fishing on one of the finest trout streams in the world, made famous in the Compleat Angler by Izaak Walton & Charles Cotton, 1676. The Hotel owns the fishing rights on the Staffordshire bank of the beautiful River Dove. The fishery extends from the imposing Ilam rock 3 miles downstream to the junction with the River Manifold on the right bank.
