The Milk Thistle

Hidden in one the finest historic buildings in the old city the milk thistle is the flirty younger sister of Bristol’s hippest prohibition bar, Hyde & co. We pride ourselves on being purveyors of the finest cocktails in the city, and with four floors, including a cocktail bar, lounge and private function rooms we’re also the perfect place to host a truly fabulous party.
Wedding venue Bristol
Ideally located as a wedding reception venue based in the heart of Bristol city centre, just a stone’s throw away from the Bristol registry office on Corn Street. The venue can cater from 20 to 130 guests. A choice of rooms is available to cater from larger and more elaborate to the small and intimate days, including the use of the whole building for the larger events.

Our regularly changing cocktail menu is full of twists on classic cocktails and unique concoctions. With some of the best bartenders in the city there’s nothing we can’t create all you have to do is ask.
Private dining & hire
The Attic, on our top floor, hosts up to 16 guests, and we think it’s the perfect place to host a private dinner party. In the past our dinner parties have been very popular, and you’ve all enjoyed our menus, but they’ve just got a little bit better. We’ve teamed up with our award winning cousin, The Ox, to create a menu that we feel is even more spectacular.
