The Tithe Barn, Hinton Saint Mary

The Tithe Barn is a magestic wedding venue situated within the grounds of Hinton St Mary Estate in Sturminster Newton, North Dorset. This Grade II listed property offers breathtaking natural surroundings, beautiful gardens, a medieval hall, and an abundance of village charm for a weekend of wedding celebrations. Dry hire is offered over a 3 day period. Facilities and Capacity The Tithe Barn is licensed for civil ceremonies inside the hall and outside in the extensive gardens of Hinton Manor, with a choice of backdrops for your photographs. St Peter’s Church is also a short walk away, walking distance infact to the Tithe Barn, to our village pub and our ample car park, making life easy for your guests. After your marriage vows, we offer the sunken garden for your drinks reception, a walled rose garden with two manecured lawns divided by a lily pond. Enjoy drinks, canapes and photographs here, even speeches if you like, before retiring to the hall for your wedding breakfast. The hall of the Tithe Barn offers a rich and inviting atmosphere for a wedding breakfast up to 100 guests seated and dancing for 150. Here, the towering vaulted ceiling is adorned with medieval wrought-iron chandeliers, which cast a warm glow across celebrations below, and which many decorate with flowers and foliage. For larger parties, or those just prefering to dine alfresco, a marquee can be set up in the walled garden for a maximum of 200. Services Offered The Tithe Barn is dry hire, which allows you to create your own special occasion here using vendors of your choice and styled to your liking. No one tells you who to use or how much to spend. This gives you the freedom to choose your caterers, furniture, bar suppliers, and much more to create your ideal wedding aesthetic. The venue’s dedicated events manager has a wealth of 20 years experience and so if you did want guidance or advice, it could be arranged.
