Tucked away in the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside, Pen-y-banc offers a breathtaking backdrop to offer to your wedding. Be it a long lazy weekend with all of your family and friends, or an intimate celebration of love. Our eco sensitive, family run farm offers an atmospheric space for your imagination to run wild. Ceremony Spaces... Our converted smallholding offers you and your guests a whole range of possible options for both your ceremony and celebrations. From spring through to autumn, our walled garden and bespoke oak pagoda provides a stunning outdoor ceremony space. Our reclaimed and restored church pew benches, hay bales and lawn surrounded by nature provide a secluded walled garden space for you and your guests. For those preferring an indoor ceremony, or throughout the winter months, our Pole Barn is licensed for 220 people and the giant double Tipi can accommodate up to 120 people. For more intimate celebrations the Old dairy and Byre adjoining are perfect for anything for a couple and their witnesses up to seventy two people. Where you will eat, drink & be merry! Through our experience of hosting weddings for around 12 years we are pretty good and working out timings of how your day may unfold. We have lots of options for all parts of the day but a good example would be: -Ceremony in the Pagoda, in our Walled Garden -Celebrations, Pole Barn Bar open, canapes & Welcome drinks in the courtyard -Wedding breakfast in the Yard Tipi (can seat up to 140 ppl at long tables) -Chill time in the courtyard, plant a tree on our land, enjoy a cocktail -Evening reception to take place in the Pole Barn-’til late! Wedding Food We truly believe in eating with the seasons. Sourcing ingredients that support local Welsh food and drink producers to accompany what we grow here in our soil association certified organic gardens. Our in-house chefs are on hand to deliver your bespoke wedding feast, rest assured nobody goes hungry. We specialise in proper food- cooked over fire- in front of you. All our couples who have booked weddings are invited free of charge to our wedding taster. Which usually takes place in the February of the year of your celebration. There, you can sample canapes, small plates and try some of our fantastic desserts made by our pastry chef Tracy (check out her wedding cakes, they are amazing!) You can also talk face to face over several glasses of wine with our wine suppliers, wedding staff, head chef and the wedding planner. We cater for all diets here.
