Facilities and Capacity Though the site has been occupied since Saxon times, the current house dates from 1425 and the charming mellow red brick facade, that gives the house it welcoming embrace, was added in the seventeenth century. The estate is being lovingly restored and opened to the public for the first time in its 1000-year history. Manor House bookings comprise exclusive use of the house and our five acres of 18th-century walled gardens; a secluded demi-Eden that can accommodate a marquee of almost any size. Currently on Historic England’s At Risk Register, West Horsley Place offers a fantastic selection of restored formal reception rooms for you to choose from. Each exudes their own unique charm, from the classical grandeur of the Stone Hall to the intimate warmth of the Library.
